April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and piano lessons which ignited her love for songwriting. April Lockhart composed her first song"Different" when she was 12 years old. At 14 old, she dedicated the majority of her time making song concepts as well as perfecting the song. Soon, April began taking trips to NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both to write songs. April began to include other relevant topics into the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer who has a growing following. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership and is also a specialist in lifestyle. It's true that she was born with no left hand and that creates her unique. It's not the only thing about her. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't just focus on her disability. What is the message? There is more to us than our physical selves. Our identities are multifaceted and encompass a variety of aspects. Lockhart speaks via video in Nashville. "I do not intend to let it define my life. I'm not looking to only be recognized as an expert in disabilities. It doesn't impact my day-to-day living. I still do all the things I normally would and I've adapted to my disabilities. But, I consider it a very important aspect of me. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends with regards to self-acceptance. Still she admits she's gone through periods of being uncomfortable with her body at times being unsure about wearing particular types of clothes which showed off her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wants and posts pictures on her Facebook page with pride. The journey itself is the key thing I'm not certain that you ever arrive she says about self-love. It's a fact that I see common to everyone regardless of what they are struggling with. People you associate yourself with that truly understand you and see through your eyes are the best people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
