Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who are a dental doctor and teacher in a school helped and encouraged her initial passion for drama as well as theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was replaced by a desire to learn about drama and theater. It was a quick rise for her to become an internationally renowned young actor. Following her graduation She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a professional career as an actor. Tautou was a student at her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from an early age, has disavowed her Catholic upbringing. She now says she is not a Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou pursued modelling and was the model in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Also, she has an intense interest in photography and recently exhibited her work during the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern famous people and celebrities. They also feature self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big role in Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and recognized at many awards events around the globe. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. In the years following the film, she appeared in numerous films ranging from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
