Felicity is an English actress known for her performance as Jane Hawking, the protagonist in The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at her 12th birthday and has worked in multiple plays TV shows and films. She started her career with the television film The Treasure Seekers. In the following year she made an appearance as a character in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow and in Weirdsisters College. The character she played was Young Ruth as her debut film Flashbacks of a Fool. In the following years, she was in a variety of movies. In films like The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 she gained recognition for her performance. Her nomination for an Oscar for the first time due to her role as the wife of Stephen Hawking's as a character in The Theory of Everything. The biopic was inspired by the scientist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was highly praised by audiences and critics due to her superb performance as Hawking's wife. Inferno was the second film in which she appeared with Tom Hanks. In 2016 the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles named Jones as the British Artist of The Year because of her talents and contribution to cinema.

She is Mexican and American. From a young age, her desire to be engaged in sport was strong. Gerina began to play golf at the age of 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. In the high school level, she was able to win at the New Mexico state golf tournament. She was also an athlete in volleyball who played at the state level. She was a student at the University of Texas in 2003. Through the latter period of her career she was the winner of every event in which she competed. While in her undergrad year, she received as the conference's best player of year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic of Year.
